Personal pain and embarrassment

Regret is something you perform over a past act. By the time you’re reading this, it will most likely be the emotion I’ll be most inclined to be wallowing in.

Its cause is imbecilic. After toying with my new UK drivers license, a childish thought invaded my mind. “Goodness,” I thought to myself, “wouldn’t it be funny if I placed all my photo ID’s side by side to compare?”

I don’t know what name psychologists give to a mental affliction that takes pleasure in cruelty to self, but I think I have it.

If this is to be any sort of serious comparison, I'm going to need to know the order in which these photo's were taken, and some approximate dates. If, by the way, the bottom one (with tan lines) is the most recent one - then you realise you lost shitloads of weight in Africa right?

Hope your well bro,

James

Serious?! What the hell? I just thought it was funny. Probably shows a mix of masochism and autophobia, stuff for future therapy sessions.

Just so you know though, they're in date order: 1994; uh, 2000(?); 2003; 2004; 2007 (before I left for Africa). Yeah, the difference is rather striking. Here's a hint: don't live in Rotorua, and don't join a band.

Still job-hunting, hence lots of posting, but other than the frustration and typical relocation blues, I'm doing well.

I'm disappointed you missed out your mild undercut NZ drivers license photo. FYI looks like we are both job hunting now... except your search is most definitely a more active search than mine ;) j
